Joan P. Ivler

Art In Pieces

Joan P. Ivler is a New Milford, Connecticut-based artist whose work "ART IN PIECES" brings storytelling to life through cut paper collage enhanced with color pencils, acrylic and charcoal. Since beginning her craft in 2019, she has developed a distinctive style marked by careful detail, thoughtful composition, and a strong sense of narrative. Her body of work has grown reflecting both her dedication and evolving artistic voice.

Ivler has exhibited widely in the region, including solo shows at Bridgewater Burnham Library, New Milford Public Library and Kent Memorial Library along with ongoing group exhibitions as a member of Gallery 25 and shows with Washington Art Association, Sherman Artists and other local art organizations. The Merryall Center on their 75th anniversary invited Joan to be their Artist in Residence for the 2026 season.

Joan's work has gained broader recognition, including the licensing of a piece by a California based film production company for promotional use.

In 2024 she was appointed to the Town of New Milford's Commission on the Arts.
