Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio is delighted to present a new show "Gazing at Clouds" acrylic pour paintings by Featured Artist Laura Brown (aka Lulu Belle). Working with acrylic pour paints is like magic, as the artist watches the colors blend in the most incredible ways to bring hues both bold and pastel, shapes and forms. The Featured Artist Show will run from September 3 - 26, 2021. The opening reception is on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1–4 pm.

As a medium, acrylic pour paintings are a contemporary art form and unlike some conventional techniques, the artist is not in control of the final product. As a jewelry artist, Brown is used to creating precise pieces, having control to be sure to guarantee its' quality, yet she had to surrender that control—and found it hard. However, when the music is flowing and the vibe is right, the paintings almost paint themselves. There is a magic that happens; the colors blend in the most incredible ways to brings hues both bold and pastel, cells form and bring a three dimension and it draws you in.

The most incredible thing happens, faces and creatures appear. It's the reason this show is called—"Gazing at Clouds". Much like clouds that engender a creative mind, each piece in this show is more of a fun interactive show that asks what YOU see in each piece. "As an artist, if I can make people think or be excited about my art because it touches our inner child in some way, I am honored and have done my job," says Brown.

Laura Brown has always been drawn to the colors in nature—an Oak Leaf changing in Fall, the colors of the sky at sunset or the complex colors of a Labradorite gemstone. In 2014, she discovered Acrylic Pouring. Having studied and experimented with it, she has now mastered it, but still experiments and pushes herself to the next level.

Each painting is a labor of love and is a signed, one of a kind! Brown also has created a YouTube channel called Date Night With Lulu Belle. The idea behind the channel is to provide instruction on the different techniques so people can do them at home. With all the lockdowns and uncertainty of going to public places, this gives people an opportunity to experience the joy of art in the comfort of their own home!
