Wood into Art

Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 2:00–4:00pm

The afternoon will include presentations and demonstrations by Gallery 25 member artists, Linda McMillan and Sergio Villaschi, and special guest artist, Al Silverstri. Each will present their unique way of working with wood and the tools and techniques they use to make their beautiful works of art.

The much anticipated presentation "Turning Wood, From Logs to Bowls and Vases" will be given by Sergio Villaschi and it will explore his process of how he hand turns local woods into beautiful and functional pieces of art. Linda McMillan and Al Silverstri will each be conducting various types of wood carving demonstrations using multiple tools and different types of wood throughout the afternoon.

Light refreshments will be served. Seating limited on a first come basis.

With guidance from the New Milford Commission on the Arts, Gallery 25 continues as a cooperative-style art gallery representing local and regional award-winning artists and artisans. With warmer weather arriving, the gallery's regular hours resume: Thursday & Sunday 12 pm - 5 pm and Friday & Saturday 12 pm - 8 pm, or by appointment (phone 860-355-6009).Ample free parking available nearby.
